12 - 26 December 2001 (MatLAB Course)

We have completed successfully Phase I of MatLAB course which was held between December 12 - 26, 2001. MatLAB is a tool for doing numerical computations with matrices and vectors. It can also display information graphically.

Course Contents are shown below.

First week:
Introduction : What is Matlab? A short information about Matlab's History and its usage over the Industrial and Educational area. Also we gave some thecnical information about program,for instance commands of Matlab such as, tour,demo,helpdesk,help and helpwin. Besides, toolboxes which comes with Matlab,were shown in the first week.

Second week:
Matlab command windows and menu, how to exit from Matlab, shape windows, how to take print output from matlab, how to tarnsfer drawn graphics through the other windows, fundamentals of Matlab, how to input basic matrices, how to take datum from outside, who, whos, clear, clc, clf commands, lookfor command, how to define variables, permanent variables, save and load commands when the signal (;) was put, numbers,matematical statements, some functions (max,min,range,sqrt), format command.

Third week:
Matrix operations such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, transpose and to take inverse, exponention and strings, "." (.* ./ .ext.) operators, compare operator and find command, Inf and Nan vaues, Logical operations (like and, or, xor and so on) HELP ELFUN and HELP ELMAT.
