7 - 11 November 2001 (Eleco'01)

IEEE Fatih University Student Branch has arranged a trip to ELECO'01 conference that was held between November 7 - 11, 2001 in Bursa, Turkey. About 30 students from the Faculty of Engineering attended the conference.

The conference was organized by The Chamber of Turkish Electrical Engineers-Bursa Section, Uludag University and Istanbul Technical University. Its aim was to provide a forum for electrical and electronics engineers and scientists in academia and industry, to present their works and to share their experiences in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.

In this conference, three of our faculty members from the Electronics Engineering Department presented the following papers:

"A Kalman Filter Algorithm For Generalized Moving Windowing"
Prof. Dr. Kemal Fidanboylu.

	- Current research topics in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. - How technical presentations are performed. - New electronics products. - Meeting with international researchers and students.

22 November 2001 (Sisecam Technical Tour)

We have visited Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari A.S. generally known as 'Sisecam' in November 22nd, 2001 which is located in Beykoz.
We have been given a lecture about history and products of Sisecam by an authorized person. In this conference we also have been taught about raw materials and production processes of glass. The prospect of glass industry in our country and in the world were emphasized by the lecturer. After the conference, production and quality departments have been seen and learnt about electronic substructure of this departments.

At the end we have realized the role of the glass production of Turkey. We were very proud of that Sisecam is one of the leading company in glass technology in the world.
